Do Aur Do Paanch is a Bollywood action-comedy-drama film released in 1980, directed by Rakesh Kumar. This multi-starrer film features iconic actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor, Kader Khan, Hema Malini, and Parveen Babi. Additionally, Kader Khan penned the dialogues for the movie. The film was so successful that it was remade in Tamil cinema under the title Ranga, with South Indian superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role.

The story revolves around two conmen, Vijay/Ram (Amitabh Bachchan) and Sunil/Lakshman (Shashi Kapoor), who are sworn enemies. They both plan to kidnap Bittu, the son of a wealthy man, Seth Mathur (Shreeram Lagoo), from a high-security boarding school. However, while Vijay is working alone, Sunil is carrying out the plan on behalf of his uncle (Kader Khan), who harbors a grudge against Bittu’s father. To achieve their goals, the two pose as teachers, renaming themselves Ram and Lakshman, and they try to win over two teachers, Anju (Parveen Babi) and Shalu (Hema Malini), through their charm. What follows is a hilarious comedy as Ram and Lakshman compete to outdo each other at every turn.

‘दो और दो पांच’ फिल्म साल 1980 में रिलीज़ हुई थी। यह एक बेहतरीन बॉलीवुड एक्शन, कॉमेडी, ड्रामा फिल्म है, जिसे डायरेक्ट राकेश कुमार किया। ये फिल्म एक मल्टीस्टार फिल्म है जिसमे, अमिताभ बच्चन, शशि कपूर, कादर खान, हेमा मालिनी और परवीन बाबी जैसे दिग्गज लोग थे। इसके अलावा दो और दो पांच फिल्म के लिए कादर खान ने डायलॉग लिखे थे। यह फिल्म इतने हिट रही कि तमिल सिनेमा में इसका रीमेक ‘रंगा’ नाम से बनाया गया जिसमे साउथ के सुपर हीरो रजनीकांत लीड रोल में थे।

दो और दो पाँच दो ठगों विजय/राम (अमिताभ) और सुनील/लक्ष्मण (शशि कपूर), जो एक दूसरे के कट्टर दुश्मन भी हैं। फिल्म की कहानी है एक अमीर आदमी सेठ माथुर (श्री राम लागू) के बेटे बिट्टू को हाई सिक्योरिटी बोर्डिंग स्कूल से किडनेप करना चाहते हैं। फर्क सिर्फ इतना है कि विजय यह सब अकेले कर रहा है और सुनील अपने चाचा (कादर खान) के लिए कर रहा है जो बिट्टू के पिता का दुश्मन है। अपने स्वार्थ को पूरा करने के लिए दोनों ठंग खुद को टीचर बताते हैं और अपना नाम सुनील से लक्ष्मण और विजय से राम रखते हैं। जहां उन्हें दो टीचर अंजू (परवीन बॉबी) और शालू (हेमा मालिनी) को अपने प्रेम जाल में फंसाते हैं। यहां से जो शुरू होता है वह एक-दूसरे से आगे निकलने की एक मजेदार कॉमेडी है, जिसमें राम और लक्ष्मण एक-दूसरे को मात देने की हर मुमकिन कोशिश करते हैं।
