Released in 2004, Garv is an action thriller directed and written by Puneet Issar, starring Salman Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Arbaaz Khan, and Amrish Puri in lead roles. The film delves into the life of a police officer who holds a deep sense of pride and honor for his uniform. Salman Khan plays a serious and intense character, bringing forth the resilience and toughness of an upright officer.

The story revolves around ACP Arjun (Salman Khan), a dedicated officer committed to eradicating crime. In his quest, he encounters and eliminates several criminals, which ultimately earns him many enemies. The film opens in a courtroom where Arjun stands accused of carrying out 18 killings at the Chief Minister’s farmhouse. Despite this, Arjun remains unrepentant, leaving both his mother Shakuntala Devi (Farida Jalal) and Commissioner Samar Singh (Amrish Puri) puzzled by his silence in court.

Amidst the turmoil, Arjun receives a call while burying his friend Haider. Although unaware of the details, he follows the caller’s instructions, only to find his sister in a distressing situation. This infuriates him, but he manages to keep his anger in check due to a hidden secret involving his sister. Meanwhile, the underworld don Zafar Supari (Mukesh Rishi) and corrupt politicians, including Kashinath Trivedi, Badrinath Trivedi, and Yashwant Deshpande, rejoice over Arjun’s silence, believing their path to be clear. साल 2004 में रिलीज हुई फिल्म ‘गर्व’, यह एक एक्शन थ्रिलर फिल्म है। इस फिल्म को लिखा और डायरेक्ट पुनीत इस्सर ने किया है। इसमें सलमान ख़ान, शिल्पा शेट्टी, अरबाज ख़ान और अमरीश पुरी का लीड रोल हैं। कहानी एक पुलिस ऑफिसर के ईमान और उसके वर्दी के प्रति सम्मान को दर्शाया गया है। इस फिल्म में सलमान को बेहद ही गंभीर और रूद्र रूप में देखा गया था।

यह कहानी एक ईमानदार एसीपी अर्जुन (सलमान खान) के इर्द गिर्द घूमती है। जो देश से क्राइम को पूरी तरह से खत्म करना चाहता है। इसके लिए वह कई गुंडे-बदमाशों का एनकाउंटर करता है। इसी वजह से उसके कई दुश्मन बन जाते हैं। फिल्म की शुरुआत कोर्ट से होता है जहां अर्जुन मुजरिम के कटघरे में खड़ा होता है, क्योंकि एक पुलिस ऑफिसर होते हुए भी उन्होंने सीएम के फार्म हाउस में 18 हत्याएं की। जिसके लिए अर्जुन को कोई पछतावा नहीं होता है। भरी अदालत में अर्जुन को खामोश देख तब मां शकुंतला देवी (फरीदा ज़लाल) और कमिश्नर समर सिंह (अमरीश पुरी) को हैरत हुई क्योंकि सबकुछ जानते हुए भी अर्जुन चुप है।

फैलाश बैंक में अपने दोस्त हैदर को दफनाते समय अर्जुन को किसी ज़फ़र का फोन आता है। वह इस बात से अनजान होता है कि उसने किस बारे में बात की थी। फोन पर बताए जगह पर पहुंचने पर बहन की ऐसी हालत को देखकर अर्जुन का खून खौल जाता है, लेकिन बहन के किसी गहरे रहस्य के वजह से वो खुद को शांत करता है। वहीं दूसरी तरफ अंडरवर्ल्ड डॉन जफर सुपारी (मुकेश ऋषि) से जुड़े काशीनाथ त्रिवेदी, बद्रीनाथ त्रिवेदी और यशवंत देशपांडे सहित कई शक्तिशाली और भ्रष्ट राजनेता इस बात से खुश हो रहे थे कि अब उनके रास्ते का काटा हट गया। क्या अर्जुन अपनी सफाई देगा और अंडरवर्ल्ड डॉन ज़फ़र को ऐसे ही छोड़ देगा? जानने के लिए देखिये फिल्म –
