Biography
Daveanand Sookram is a Bollywood singer of Trinidad and Tobago. Born on September 16th in the community of Hardbargain, Williamsville commonly known as Dave.
After Dave started singing in his early teenage years at Temple, School and Community events. Dave went onto participate in competitions such as Prime Minister’s Best Village Trophy, and Mastana Bahar. Soon after he joined his first band at the age of 18 called “Petrotrin Rangeela” led by Oosman Mohammed of Marbella.
Dave Sookram went back and forth from Trinidad to Canada forcing him to take a break from music. In 2015, he returned to Trinidad full time when he once again went back on the big stages together with Mr. Kumar Sieunarine for two years. Dave Sookram then again joined a band at that time called the “Millennium Stars Int. Band” led by Mr Navin Laloo of Valsyn, of which Dave is still a Frontline vocalist of that band.
Dave Sookram’s preferred style of music has always been Bollywood, where he recorded several cover renditions at some of Trinidad’s best recording and production studios and collaborated with some big names of the local music industry.
