My name is Keiron Sachin Lal. I go by my first name, Keiron, on stage. I am 23 years old and reside in La Romaine. I am currently employed with the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC). My main goal is to become an Attorney-at-Law. I recently completed my Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of London. I plan to start my Legal Practitioners Certificate along with my Masters in Law followed right after.
I currently live with my mom and my dad. I started singing professionally in 2017. My mom sang professionally for over ten years so growing up watching her gave me the encouragement to pursue music.
The reason I think I should be the Sangeet Chutney Cup 2020 Champion is because I want to elevate the art form and I believe that my vibe is unique as everyone’s is. My goal is to make Chutney music more recognized as a genre of music that represents Trinidad and Tobago. In doing this, my style of music is using the traditional instruments and structure and blending it with my modern day twist.
