Krishna (Krish) Reedoy, Born in Mauritius and now living in South Africa for the past 30 years.
Hindi language and music have been my passion from a very young age, singing at Hindi Schools, weddings, and special functions.
I sing different in genres of music, namely, bhajan, chutney, gazal, Bollywood songs, wedding songs, patriotic songs etc.
I am a degree holder in Hindi Language which facilitated me to become a songwriter and a lyricist. I write lyrics in Hindi, Bhojpuri, Urdu and English.
I had the privilege of learning music at The Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Arts & Culture in Mauritius. I love to play my harmonium and sing while singing bhajans and chutney songs as well.
I have recorded 6 CDs. My first CD was recorded in 2004 – Hamara Pyara Desh – My Beloved Country. A patriotic CD dedicated to praise the life and work of our late President of South Africa, Mr. Nelson Mandela. I have 2 CDs of Chutney music, 1 CD with wedding songs, 1 CD with bhajans and lastly 1 CD with Hindi songs to propagate Hindi Language. The 6 CDs are compiled with my original tunes and lyrics. I also write lyrics for artists around the world.
