THE FATHER – IN – LAW SONG

I will take a cutlass, one day, and end all this eye-pass.

He’ll come into your room, and feel-up your thigh.

4. There at the stand-pipe, my father-in-law started to sing.
“When I get my daughter-in-law, a new life will begin.”
My father-in-law tried always, to mess with my life.
I told him, “This daughter-in-law won’t be your next wife.”

5. The father-in-laws today, they’ve something to prove.
They sit down, study you and, then make their move.
I turned to my father-in-law and said, “Ask your daughter,
how she ought to be treated, by her own father-in-law.”

6. When you live at a father-in-law, you’ll never sleep soon
`cause he’ll always have some excuse to come in your room.
