Haseena Maan Jaayegi is a film from the era when the 90’s were ending and the 2000’s were about to begin. The movie offers a perfect blend of songs, dialogues, comedy timing, and romantic tracks. Released in 1999, Haseena Maan Jaayegi is a romantic-comedy featuring Govinda and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles, with Karisma Kapoor, Pooja Batra, Kader Khan, Anupam Kher, Paresh Rawal, Aruna Irani, and Satish Kaushik also part of the cast. Directed by David Dhawan, the music for the film is composed by Anu Malik.
This film holds a special place for Karisma Kapoor as her mother Babita Kapoor also starred in a film with the same name, released in 1968. In real life, Babita married Randhir Kapoor, the nephew of Shashi Kapoor, making Shashi Kapoor Karisma’s grandfather. However, Babita was not married when the original film was made, which adds a personal touch for Karisma. The songs ‘What Is Mobile Number’, ‘Haseena Maan Jaayegi’, ‘I Love You Bol Dal’, and ‘Cheenti Pahad Chadi’ became superhits and are still enjoyed by many today.
The story revolves around two mischievous brothers whose antics greatly trouble their father. The movie is centered around a business tycoon named Amirchand (Kader Khan), who has two irresponsible sons, Sonu (Govinda) and Monu (Sanjay Dutt). Their constant pranks and scams leave their father exasperated. In an attempt to separate them, their father sends one to Goa and the other to Mumbai for work, leading to a major twist in the story. In Goa, Monu falls in love with Pooja (Pooja Batra), and in Mumbai, Sonu falls for Ritu (Karisma Kapoor). Watching how they woo their beloveds and the twists and turns of the story is truly entertaining.
हसीना मान जाएगी’ फिल्म उस दौर की है जब 90’s 1999 का दौर खत्म हो रहा था और 2000’s की तैयारी हो रही थी। फिल्म में आपको कुछ वैसा ही कॉम्बिनेशन देखने को मिलेगा, इसमें आपको गाने, डायलॉग, कॉमेडी टाइमिंग, रोमांटिक गाने सबकुछ परफेक्ट है। साल 1999 में रिलीज हुई फिल्म ‘हसीना मान जाएगी’ रोमांटिक-कॉमेडी फिल्म है। इसमें गोविंदा और संजय दत्त लीड रोल में नजर आए है साथ ही फिल्म में करिश्मा कपूर, पूजा बत्रा, कादर खान, अनुपम खेर, परेश रावल, अरणा ईरानी, सतीश कौशिक जैसे कलाकार भी मौजूद है। ‘हसीना मान जाएगी’ को डायरेक्टर डेविड धवन ने किया है और संगीत अनु मलिक का है।
इस फिल्म की खासियत यह भी है कि करिश्मा के लिए ये एक सदाबहार फिल्म है क्योंकि ‘हसीना मान जाएगी’ नाम से उनकी मां बबीता कपूर ने भी एक फिल्म की थी, जो साल 1968 में रिलीज हुई थी। रियल लाइफ में शशि कपूर के भतीजे रणधीर कपूर से बबीता की शादी हुई थी। ऐसे में रिश्ते में शशि कपूर करिश्मा के दादा थे। लेकिन फिल्म के बनने के वक्त बबीता की शादी नहीं हुई थी। इसलिए यह करिश्मा के करीब भी है। फिल्म में ‘व्हाट इज मोबाइल नंबर’, ‘हसीना मान जाएगी’, ‘आई लव यू बोल डाल’ और ‘चींटी पहाड़ चढ़े’ जैसे गाने सुपरहिट हुए थे। आज भी इस गाने को लोग झूमते नजर आते हैं…
इसकी कहानी दो शरारती भाइयों की है, जिनके कारनामों से पिता काफी परेशान है और इन्ही के इर्द-गिर्द पूरी फिल्म बनी है। फिल्म में अमीरचंद (कादर खान) नाम का एक बिजनेस टायकून होता है जिसके दो लापरवाह बेटे सोनू (गोविंदा) और मोनू (संजय दत्त) होते हैं। दोनों अपने पिता को परेशान करने के आय दिन कुछ ना कुछ ऐसी हरकत करते रहते हैं और उन्हें ठगते हैं। जब उनके पिता दोनों को अलग करने के लिए एक को गोवा और दूसरे को ऑफिस के काम के लिए भेजते हैं तो कहानी में बड़ा ट्विस्ट आता है…जब गोवा में मोनू को पूजा (पूजा बत्रा) और मुंबई में सोनू को रितु (करिश्मा कपूर) से प्यार हो जाता है। दोनों कैसे अपने हसीनाओं मनाते हैं और कहानी कैसे-कैसे मोड़ लेती है ये देखना दिलचस्प है….
