In the recently completed Chutneymusic.com Awards 2022 , Rochana Balgobind of the Netherlands won the title of the Chutneymusic.com Best New Artist 2022 by getting over 727 votes. It was a nail biter as her closest competitor, Arianna Thackurdeen of Florida got 710 votes. Shivan Ramoutar of Trinidad & Tobago placed third with 100 votes.
