Let me introduce myself for those of you who do not know me !!
My name is Suraj anil singh
I was born in Hague BackDam Guyana 🇬🇾
I was born on 26th june ,1973
I am the eldest child of a family of 3 brothers and 1 sister
My dad passed when I was 4yrs old
My mom is alive in Canada , happy and well!
I started my music career in Guyana at the care centre at an age of 16
I sing my heart here to Canada 🇨🇦 and married to my wife Nalini singh and we have 3 beautiful children (2 girls and 1 boy )
Age 20,16 and 14
They are my lifeline and my everything !!
I have sang for more than 15 years for the East Indian community and was the leader of a band called SUR SANGEET 🎵🎼🎹🎺🎸🎤 here in Canada
We played from Thursday to Sunday every weekend with minimum sleep ❤️🥰😱😱😱
I have revisited the West Indian community where and start singing at Kalypso hut and tropical nights mainly .
I Was booked on international shows both in Guyana and Trinidad twice (🙏 kalypso hut Paul )
The bigest audience I performed for was more than 10,000 people on the concert of the world with kumar sanu (🙏credits to Mahendra RAMKHELLAWAN)
I formed a group here called the “The untouchables “with some really talented singers
I have a full time job as a manager of the paint and patio door line of a door company called mastergrain .
I sing ,Help organize and promote events as a hobby and passion to help build and preserve our culture
I love to sing Bollywood and do lend my voice to a variety of different songs as well, including chutney !
I am totally a freelance artiste !!
I sing every Friday night at kalypso hut open mic for all music lovers
And try to help new , respected and talented singers elevate .
I also sing every other Sunday at tropical nights in Scarborough which is 2 mins from my home .
To conclude I want to say that
I have been in music for over 25 years and played with all the big bands and sang with most of the big artiste out there with upmost respect !!
I am also a recording artiste with over 75 songs to my credit
And 5 cds ,1 of which was a collab with Devindra pooran , Seeta Panday -“Tribute to the legends”
I also have a lil studio and do small production for myself and people that are very close me ,musically
