My dear friends, I am sure you have all seen the article stating that I am one of the many victims in a Ponzi scheme. The post doesn’t say anything bad about me nor have I been accused of any wrongdoing. I am a victim, but the misinformed court of public opinion has taken the opportunity to get their few minutes of fame on baseless accusations.
Even national news outlets have published the story without any fact checking! The only credible news source to contact me was Critic and I thank him for getting his facts straight before sharing with the public. What people think or say about me is none of my business. This post is not for ignorant people; this post is for my friends who love me & care about the truth.
Firstly, the article made it seem like I invested 4.75 million dollars. False. I am not a millionaire or even remotely close to being one. I do honest hard work & make sacrifices like everyone else to pay the bills. I do charitable work not because I am rich, but because I know what it’s like to be poor.
All of this stemmed from a comment I made in support Anisa & her little daughter Amaya during these difficult times, with some kind words, but of course it’s all taken out of context.
There were hundreds of comments but they obviously picked mine & made a big deal despite the fact that I was trying to do something good by offering words of encouragement in their time of need.
People would say that I am stupid for investing but I always believe in supporting the businesses within our community.
Avi did a lot of great music for me (and many others) over the years and when he approached me to invest in his business there was no way I was going to turn him down. No one knew it would come to this and I am still hopeful for a favorable outcome for everyone involved. I do believe in “innocent until proven guilty” and I trust everyone involved would do the right thing especially since all investors were friends & family.
I will continue doing my charitable work & will not let evil detractors discourage me from doing the heartfelt work I’ve been doing all my life.I acknowledge I may have been gullible but I still have hope in human beings.
Thanks to everyone who reached out to me with loving, understanding & caring messages. 2020 has been a crazy year for all of us in so many ways but please stay positive, hopeful & most of all, stay healthy.
