Daddy Chinee won Chutney Soca Monarch 2023 and Katelin Sultan won the Queen of Chutney Soca Monarch 2023.
The 13 performers who had qualified and performed at Skinner Park in San Fernando are as follows:

Katelin Sultan has created history as the youngest artiste to ever make a final in one of the big competitions in Carnival. Machel Montano was 11 years old when he made the Finals of the Calypso Monarch.
The Chutney Soca Semi Final played to a packed venue at Screamers in Debe.
29 performers put their best foot forward as they tried to make the cut for the Grand Final now scheduled for Fantastic Friday – 17th February at the newly renovated Skinner Park in San Fernando.
Ricardo Melville, aka Daddy Chinee topped the semi final round with ‘We are One’, while Kenneth Supersad was close behind with his rendition ‘Moonilal’.
The female artistes also brought their A-game.
Katelin Sultan, the 8 year old, who created history as being the youngest person to ever qualify for a semifinal, accompanied and supervised by her parents, did an elaborate presentation for a semifinal stage.
13 artistes, inclusive of GI Beharry, who is defending his title, will now move to Skinner Park in San Fernando for the Grand Final.
GI Beharry is also trying to create history by being the only artiste to achieve a ‘beaver-trick’ at Chutney Soca Monarch.
The Grand Final originally scheduled for Saturday 4th February has now moved to Carnival Friday 17th February. This move was to accommodate the ongoing work and completion of the newly renovated Skinner Park venue.
The event is ‘free’ to the public.
Our 2023 event will feature the top entertainers from the Caribbean in a special feature ‘Legends and Icons’ where 6 special artistes from the Caribbean region will be honoured. The segment will also feature performances from some of the icons of the Indo- Caribbean music industry.
The competition will also crown our 2023 Chutney Soca Monarch and also the 2023 Queen of Chutney Soca.
